I don't know anyone that shares my interest and whilst I may not interact much beyond some forum posts, it's nice to know there's so many like minded souls out there.
To echo Aaron above where else would anyone disect a Godfrey Ho movie but the ggtmc? That's why I dig it. It's eclectic beyond gore movies or one kind of cinema. A one stop shop!
Also this blog has some cool fok writing too ;)Charlie Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06141349823079178860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3461143163123797513.post-79244104438307401192010-11-06T06:52:58.623-04:002010-11-06T06:52:58.623-04:00Great post, Dusty. The thing is, I never once asked any of them to do that! For that I will always be grateful to those guys. As a movie nerd, I feel lucky to be a part of their little community of friends and listeners. I've met some great people through the podcast (and Cinema Diabolica). The wealth of film knowledge amongst some of the people in the community makes me feel like such an amateur sometimes. And yes, where else are you gonna hear a podcast completely dissect/analyze INVISIBLE MANIAC for like 45 minutes?!Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08390842606960468754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3461143163123797513.post-12838597224941547032010-11-05T23:24:05.566-04:002010-11-05T23:24:05.566-04:00Man, Deranged is such an odd movie, and the scene ...Man, Deranged is such an odd movie, and the scene when he is hiding - in dead lady drag, amongst his deceased victims - and the bartender chick walks into the room and he starts moving slowly, well, that shit is scary as hell. Out of so many films that have been based off the Gein case, even the strangest and almost silliest one still is able to be damned creepy at the right moments, which is a testament to how fucked up Ed Gein was.

Great post and very endearing indeed. I have a decent amount of friends that are into the same cinema as us, but when I moved out of state, I lost that connection. However, while it is not the same as having a beer and a movie convo with good friends, the people in the GGtMC community, and the Gentlemen themselves, really have become my film compadres, which really fills a serious void in my life.

Bring on the poop.Matt-suzakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16215962688591291944noreply@blogger.com
