I think I also carry the hope that the movie will improve as it progresses.

I sort of unfairly "canned" Stormy Monday. From a filmmaking stand point, it's quite good. The problem is that there is just nothing there emotionally. It's a common mistake that a lot of filmmakers make. As far as I can tell this is Mike Figgis' first movie. As such, it's pretty good!Dusty https://www.blogger.com/profile/10716220249953555521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3461143163123797513.post-67330992965711158812010-12-05T16:45:54.137-05:002010-12-05T16:45:54.137-05:00I feel somewhat better about myself after reading ...I feel somewhat better about myself after reading this review. I too am unable to turn off a movie, even if it is really bad. I usually just start reading or painting my nails or cleaning my apartment while it plays in the background. I'm always nervous there will be one redeemable scene that everyone will mention and I won't have seen it. That being said, I'm just going to avoid "Stormy Monday" all together.Graygrrrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07423394839497455624noreply@blogger.com
